Workbook

Print Advertisement

Workbook was designed to sell a laptop to a target audience of professional women, aged 50 years and older, with access to a disposable income. Stylistic choices include a modern sans-serif font mixed with an elegant script for the W to illustrate the concept of technology and sophistication. This is also demonstrated with the neutral color palette of midtones.

Save New Orleans Music

PSA Poster
Swiss Style

The Save New Orleans Music poster is designed with a Swiss style layout. The piece reads left to right with a clear typographical hierarchy. The image selected utilizes the musician's line of sight to draw the viewer's eyes down to the content. The cello strings also pull the viewer's eyes down to the text. Light purple was chosen to represent the somber, emotional overtone of the subject matter.

Everybody Plays The Fool

Print Advertisement
Deconstructive Piece

This film advertisement is a deconstructive piece. The film title 'Everybody Plays The Fool' is deconstructed with 'the fool' tatooed on the characters' foreheads to insinuate that both parties play the fool in a romantic relationship. The word 'Plays' is also deconstructed with the 'P' rotated to appear as a pillow and bed frame for the word which further suggests the content of the film. The remainder of the word 'lays' highlighted in red also suggests the film's subject matter. Since this is a deconstructive piece, the film's title is re-written at the bottom for clarification.
